A Simple Fall Project Using Burlap

in , by Julie Nichols, September 27, 2015
Hi friends hope you enjoyed the first week of fall.

Long Island has been blessed with GORGEOUS temperatures & BRIGHT sunny days.
It's been a great week for fall decorating!

In my previous post, I featured a tiny mum wrapped in burlap with scrabble letters attached to the top.

HERE IS A QUICK TUTORIAL ON HOW I MADE A SWEET SKIRT FOR A TINY MUM :

I purchased this mum at the grocery store.
( It really is tiny... I know it looks huge in this picture.)

I used a burlap ribbon and my trusty hot glue gun.
You can never go wrong with a hot glue gun.
I think it's the best invention ever.
(If you don't have a hot glue gun no worries any kind of glue, or even tape will do)

The first thing I did was run a bead ( more like a blob) of hot glue down the plastic container, then I wrapped the burlap around one time and secured it with more hot glue.

Next, I used crochet trim on the top and bottom then added scrabble letters to finish it off.
If there is excess burlap you can just trim it.
[ Sorry I forgot to take pictures of this last step]

HERE IT IS ALL FINISHED

Isn't she cute all dressed up for fall and so SIMPLE to do!
