When it came time to decorate the guest bedroom I needed a mirror to hang above the dresser.

If you remember my design plan for the guest bedroom it included a round mirror. In the six short weeks to complete this makeover the mirror that I was going to purchase would not have arrived on time. I ended up using a yard sale mirror that I purchased over a year ago.

All this mirror needed was a refresh!  Here is how...
I applied one coat of dark walnut stain to the wood. For the decorative metal, I used gold metallic craft paint. I opted for faux flowers instead of fresh ones simply because I could not remove the floral foam.

It is One Room Challenge Reveal day and I am beyond excited to share our new room with you! Let's recap for those popping in for the first time.  I chose the Guest Bedroom because it was the last room in the house to get a makeover.  Week 1 I shared my design plan and project list, week 2 was all about the preparation it takes to makeover a room, week 3 fixed the ceiling, primed and painted the walls, week 4 was all about my husband, week 5 was all about the floors, closet doors, my projects, playing around with art, rugs, and a mirror .

Hello again friends, here we go it's the final countdown!  We are in week five of the One Room Challenge at Calling It Home and as you know we've been busy around here working on the guest bedroom.  I started several other projects for the room while simultaneously working on the finishing touches of the floor and trim work.  If you missed the beginning of where I started you can catch up here at week 1week 2week 3week4.
