Finished Night table in the guest bedroom
If you've been reading along, you already know about my roadside find night table and the tutorial on how I removed the wood veneer from it. In case you missed this post you can catch up on it here how to remove wood veneer from wood furniture
This year I decided to do a complete makeover of one of the bedrooms in our home. The room is now complete and you can see it here (guest bedroom makeover). I wanted to use this night table in the bedroom, but not looking like this.
But more like this.
Isn't she a beauty!
I applied three coats of clear gloss polyurethane to the top and the bottom. I did the same with the legs and the drawer.
Here it is after one coat.
Here is a picture of the top of the night table before I removed the wood veneer. Removing the water-stained wood veneer made this table new again! I am so thrilled with the results!
It was worth all the mess
I used gold metallic spray paint on the knob
