DIY Rustic Christmas Pine Cone Wreath

Hi Friends... Have you started decorating for the holiday season yet?  I have been busy decking the halls and creating simple Christmas decorations.  My favorite one is this natural pine cone wreath.  It is super easy to make and costs next to nothing!

SUPPLIES:
Pine Cones
Willow Wreath
Hot Glue Gun
Burlap Ribbon
White Paint
Paint Brush


Gather a bunch of pine cones.  
I found mine in my backyard...you can also purchase them at a craft store.



I Painted the wreath using white paint mixed with water.
 [One part paint two parts water] 
This is the paint I used.


The paint gives the wreath a wintry look.

After the paint dried I went ahead and wrapped the ribbon around the wreath.
I spaced the ribbon 2-3 inches apart.


The pine cones are glued in clusters in between the ribbon.


NEXT....paint the pine cones

I painted the pine cones using the same white paint mixture I used to paint the wreath.




I found this sweet sign at Micheals in the dollar bin.
 Two dabs of hot glue did the trick to adhere it to the wreath

And that's it...
What I love about this wreath is... I can remove the sign when Christmas is over and leave the wreath up all winter.

Feel free to display your wreath on your front door for all to enjoy!
Mine will eventually make its way outside.
But for now.......
I hung my wreath on a  wall vase that I repurposed.
