HAPPY FALL MY FRIENDS!
I am so excited today to bring you my fall home tour.
I am honored to be a part of an amazing group of 16 talented bloggers. A HUGE THANKS to Michele from Shelstring blog who organized it all!!Hello and welcome to my fall home tour! If you are dropping by here for the first time, my name is Julie, I live with my husband, teenage daughter, and two fur babies on the East Coast of Long Island NY. I repurpose, reuse, paint, craft & decorate on a small budget.
A tiny vestibule greets you upon entering our Cape Cod-style home.
Our home is simple, there is no sweeping staircase, vaulted ceilings, or grand foyer.
Taking my cue from mother nature, I used a bounty of fall colors this year.
Plus neutral tones using Scrabble letters.
Can you spot our dog at the end of the couch?
I covered up the open space in the entertainment center with a rustic chalkboard purchased at decor steals.
Keeping my decorations simple I used what I have and let mother nature stand out. A sunflower (part of a bouquet my husband bought for my birthday) & mums clipped right outside our front door take center stage on top of the entertainment center.
Evenings are spent unwinding on the couch snuggled under a cozy blanket watching TV or reading.
A simple vignette using my handmade pumpkins and Scrabble letters.
I used colorful pillows to lighten the dark brown couch.
A comfy corner
Our little pumpkin will be graduating High School this year.
DINING ROOM
I love this room for its space, natural light, and fireplace.
I kept the decorations to a minimum.
I kept the decorations to a minimum.
The fireplace has potential and I will be giving it a face-lift soon.
I kept the mantel simple by using my handmade pumpkins and green bottles filled with preserved cotton branches.
The vintage stainless steel medical cabinet is my favorite piece in the room.
(Sorry for the poor lighting).....
We are in the midst of a Coastal Storm. Lots of rain and wind going on outside the windows.

Dried hydrangeas and flowers brighten up this corner of the room.
KITCHEN
Baskets are perfect for hiding items like paper towels and napkins.
A chalkboard hangs on a door for a quick list of grocery store items.
I hope you enjoyed my fall home tour!
Be sure to head over to see all the other amazing homes all decked out for fall.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
